Amber (Smith) Oline is an Urbandale graduate, Class of 2005.  Following her illustrious tenure at Urbandale, she attended the University of Northern Iowa (Go Panthers!) where she received a Bachelor of Music Education.  Amber began her career teaching 5th/6th grade band at Regina Education Center in Iowa City for 2 years.  In the fall of 2016, she’ll begin her fifth year of teaching 5th/6th grade band in the Iowa City Community School District.

Outside of the school day, she enjoys playing trumpet in the pit orchestra for local musicals.  Amber loves guiding beginning band students in their musical learning and witnessing the progress they make in their early years.

We’re proud to have Amber as an alumna who is paying if forward to young music students in the Iowa City area.  Way to go Amber!
