Please join us in welcoming Mr. Dana Andrews to the Urbandale Band Department!

A note from Mr. Andrews:

I am a 1988 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (go Panthers!). My teaching career has included all grade levels of band in schools tiny (Wall Lake), medium (Durant, Vinton) and large (Des Moines). For the past 19 years, I have taught in Des Moines Public Schools. I am extremely proud and excited to work with the staff and students of the Urbandale Band Department.

My wife, Jeanette is a librarian at the Urbandale Public Library. Our four children all are/were Urbandale Band students. In my “spare” time I play trumpet and guitar for the local all-teacher funk band – Faculty Lounge.
