Congratulations to Marie Rice, UHS Class of 2004, and owner of Seattle Sound Repair.  Marie’s business is celebrating its 3rd birthday this year.  Marie is an intrepid, quintessential hard working person and entrepreneur.  In addition to her coveted diploma from Urbandale High School, she also has a BA in Music from University of Northern Iowa and an AAS in Instrument Repair Technology from Renton Technical College.  Outside of Seattle Sound Repair, Marie can be found performing as a percussionist with the Cascade Symphony Orchestra and the Seattle Wind Symphony.  Her advice to future business owners:  Be driven and organized; save at least 6 months worth of living expenses in the bank before taking the plunge.
